Policies
Drivers2Day operates two related services: a UK load marketplace (post load → sealed quote → award) for shippers and owner-drivers/carriers, and depot driver hire where the hirer provides the vehicle. These policies apply to both unless stated otherwise.
1. Marketplace (loads, quotes & awards)
- Shippers post loads with route, timing and vehicle requirements. Carriers (including owner-drivers) may submit sealed quotes. Competing quote amounts are not visible to other carriers until an award is made.
- Awarding a quote creates a booking between shipper and carrier. Platform booking fees apply at award; there is no membership fee to access the board.
- After award, parties use the job room for messages, status updates, proof of delivery notes and mutual ratings. Misuse of messaging or false ratings may lead to suspension.
- Carriers are responsible for suitable vehicles, insurance, licences and legal compliance for the freight they accept. Drivers2Day is a marketplace facilitator, not the carrier of goods.
- Wallet credits from awarded loads may be withdrawn subject to a withdrawal fee. See Pricing.
2. Depot driver hire
- Hirers provide the vehicle. Drivers supply licence and experience. Booking requests, accept / reject windows and site start/end codes apply as set out in our business terms.
- Licence documents may be verified before a driver is bookable. Booking fees may apply when hire is confirmed, on the same no-membership model.
3. Data & documents
We store account, licence, vehicle and booking data securely and do not share documents with third parties beyond what is required to operate the platform (for example verification or payment processing). We aim to remain GDPR compliant. For privacy or deletion requests, email contactus@drivers2day.co.uk.
4. Conduct
Users must provide accurate load, quote and profile information. Collusion to undermine sealed quoting, no-shows after award without cause, or unsafe operations may result in removal from the platform.
Formal PDF policy packs will be published here as the rebuild progresses. Related: Business terms.
